mUsbFixer is a free and tiny tool to remove write-protection and format the pendrives and sd cards. It can also recover folders which are converted into shortcuts.

• Connect your pendrive or sd card to the computer.
• Run mUsbFixer
• You see the list of connected portable discs in the dropdown box.
• Select the appropriate disc
• Click 'Format Write Protected drive' button to format a un-formatable pendrive or sd card.
• Click 'Recover shortcut folders' to convert shortcut folders into normal folders and recover the data.

• My drive is not visible in the list.
Click the 'refresh' button. 


• Still can't see the drive.
1) Disconnect the drive. 
2) Close mUsbFixer. 
3) Connect the drive again. 
4) Launch mUsbFixer, now you should be able to see the drive.
